Some 40,000 people turned out on the streets of a sun-drenched London on Saturday for the EuroPride parade. EuroPride is a two-week festival that is held in a different European city every year. Its staging in London this year followed the introduction of same-sex civil partnerships in Britain.
Streets came alive with marchers, floats, dancers and bands as the parade snaked its way through the heart of the British capital.
