Last night the 2006 adidas Active Skincare Sexiest Man in League was announced at an exclusive cocktail party at Star City. And the winner is... Matt Cooper from St George Illawarra Dragons.
Matt Cooper is a national role model and one of rugby league's most high profile identities. With his smouldering good looks making him one of the game's most marketable stars and he was crowned The Sexiest Man in League in 2000. Matt also a favourite among the fashion set, has appeared in fashion spreads for GQ, Cleo, Cosmopolitan magazine and recently at Myer spring fashion show.
Here are some Q&A with Matt from the Sexiest Man in Leaque's website..
Tell us about your style?
Very casual, I usually wear jeans and a t-shirt. But I like to wear clothing with a bit of an edge, I try to wear things that are a little bit different to what every second bloke who walks down the street is wearing.
Are you interested in fashion & grooming?
Yeah, definitely. I think most guys are these days. I don't mind experimenting a bit.
Who buys most of your clothing?
I like to do my own shopping, usually down at Crown Street Mall in Wollongong. If I'm up in Sydney for a weekend I might do some shopping on Oxford Street. I'm in a real street shoe phase at the moment and I've been doing a bit of shopping at Platypus shoe store on Oxford Street, they have a really extensive range.
mmm... likes experimenting, shopping on Oxford Street (popular gay street in Sydney), and loves shoes.. very metrosexual, our 2006 sexiest man!
