The Down Low

here!, America's premium gay television network, secureds right to produce the award-winning television African American Gay series 'The DL Chronicles', from creators Quincy Le Near and Deondray Gossett.

The DL Chronicles tells the stories of men of color who by consequence and by choice, live sexually duplicitous and secret lifestyles.

From a highly desired successful executive to the street corner hustler, from the happily married father of two to the college athlete's first love, each episode will delve into the different lives and experiences of DL Men of Color across social, cultural, and economic boundaries.

The DL (Down Low) is a slang term sometimes used for African-American men who identify as being straight, but secretly engage in sexual activity with men. They date women, have children, and often marry in an effort to appear heterosexual to the public. More than just "closeted," they do not identify as Gay or Bisexual and refuse to be associated with the Gay "lifestyle" or community.
