On Sunday, Little Britain star Matt Lucas has married his long-term partner Kevin McGee in a civil partnership ceremony, which was followed by a pantomime-themed reception. The ceremony was kept fairly formal, with male guests wearing suits.
But the reception was a more outrageous affair as guests such as Elton John and his partner David Furnish attended the event as Captain Hook and Prince Charming.
Britain introduced civil partnerships for same-sex couples late last year but, unlike in Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Canada, they do not have the status of marriages. [Sorce]
