With less than two more weeks til the world largest night costume parade kicks off. Mardi Gras Parade which has grown to become a major cultural event, will include our gay icon "The Kylie 2007 float" this year. With the float’s 250 participants – 230 who will be dancing, 20 who will be looking after the float’s production elements, the float looks set to make Mardi Gras history as one of the largest performing marching groups ever.
Even though Kylie isn’t going to be at the parade due to her busy schedule, she has just issued a statement on her website wishing them all the very best.
"I want to wish everyone participating in the ‘Kylie 2007’ float at this year’s Sydney Mardi Gras the very best of luck. Make the costumes great because you KNOW I’ll be watching! Whether you’re a Marching Boy, Mechanic or a Showgirl, enjoy yourselves and Happy Mardi Gras! Love Kylie x"
