Mardi Gras 2008 :: Brave New Worlds

It’s birthday time at New Mardi Gras, turning 30 and intending to make the 2008 season one to remember with the theme - 'Brave New Worlds'.
Today Mardi Gras launched their festival guide for 2008 and it's one of the most impressive line ups we've seen from them in recent times. Next year’s festival is a solid program of events with strong ties to the city’s major venues and pitches top notch international performers alongside the best of our homegrown talent.
The big names include pop diva Cyndi Lauper, fresh from her ‘True Colors’ tour in the US, and comedian Margaret Cho bringing the world premiere of her brand new show 'Beautiful'.
And this year New Mardi Gras has taken the famous Harbour Party into their own hand with the new look and new name, 'Sol Y Luna Party. It’s going to be a stunning day of fun in the sun with beautiful backdrop of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Of course there’s also the official Mardi Gras Party which needs no introduction.
