Male Swan Lake

If you've ever dreamt to be a swan lake ballet dancer, but you don't have the legs for it, here's a chance to fulfil your dream.
Matthew Bourne’s version of all-male "Swan Lake" will arrive in Sydney just in time for Mardi Gras next month. Based on a libretto by Vladimir Begichev and fashioned from an ancient German legend, which tells the story of Odette – a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer’s curse - it's homoerotically charged incarnation with all muscular sexy male swans.

"The idea of a male swan makes complete sense to me" says Matthew, "the strength, the beauty, the enormous wingspan of these creatures suggests to me the musculature of a male dancer more readily than a ballerina in her white tutu."

Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake plays at the Capitol Theatre, Haymarket from Feb 21 to Mar 18.

I'd love to go and see this but the cash situation being what it is means I can't...
If you go, let me know what it's like!
