More than 7500 participants in Sydney's 29th annual Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade pass tens of thousands of cheering spectators on Oxford Street. Around 350,000 watched the beauty and madness of this year's parade, led by UK actor Rupert Everett. There were about 116 floats joining the 4 kilometres long parade route. My favourite was The New Mardi Gras/Gaydar float; hot boys dressed in colourful roman costumes as gay warriors leading the Trojan horse. (Click on the pic for larger view. More pics after the jump.)
"This iconic event which provides visibility and pride of gay and lesbian people throughout the world, is a beacon of love, acceptance, and tolerance," New Mardi Gras chairman Marcus Bourget
