John Browne, a chief executive of BP, resigned on Tuesday after a UK newspaper won the rights to publish details about his private life, including information on a four-year gay sugar daddy relationship with a 27 y/o Canadian escort, Jeff Chevalier. It was revealed he lied to the High Court about where he initially met Mr Chevalier. In documents to the court Browne said they met while jogging in Battersea Park. In fact Lord Browne, 59 hired him through an online escort service, Suited And Booted.
The story got dramatically as it has emerged, Browne was not Mr Chevalier's first sugar daddy. Before coming to UK, he previously had a four-year relationship with a rich 48 y/o Canadian TV executive, John Trickey.
The Times reports that Mr Chevalier had asked Browne for $300,000 as a payoff after their relationship ended. By early leaving from BP, Browne will loose on a leaving package worth 3.5 million pounds and a possible 12 million pounds worth of shares. [Source]
