my boy and I went to celebrate NYE and welcome 2008 at our friend's place. (Thanks to Richard and his million dollars viewed apartment.) It's the best spot to watch fireworks overlooked the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
Sydney staged a spectacular party to welcome 2008, with the city's customary fireworks extravaganza drawing more than a million people to the Harbour foreshore. With the theme for the evening being 'Time of Our Lives', the Harbour Bridge was again the showpiece, with a giant neon hourglass - illustrating the theme of time passing and taking the traditional centre stage position on the famous arch.
The midnight fireworks made the icon really come alive, with an amazing waterfall of golden sparks and a series of towering explosions that set the span alight with colour.
